I’ve mentioned my battle to grow my nails a couple of times now, and for the first time ever I have (So far…) succeeded.
With our wedding just around the corner I’ve been determined not to have horrible bitten nails in all our pictures, and that extra incentive seems to have done the trick.
Having tried and failed so many times in the past my nail varnish collection is seriously lacking, so when Nailpolish.co.uk offered to top up my collection I was excited to expand my horizons and try out some new tones.
With Christmas party season on the horizon I decided to try out a couple of shades to accompany that festive staple, the little black dress.
‘Guys and Galaxies’ from OPI is perfect if you’re looking to make a statement without being as brazen as a bold pillar box red. Slightly more subtle, this shade is dark and more maroon than red. Warmed up with gold jewellery, this would be perfect for a classic look. Anyone feeling particularly brave could match their lipstick to this tone, bringing the full outfit together.
For something completely different I also tried out ‘Suzi Takes The Wheel’ from OPI, a gorgeous pale grey. Altogether more modern, this shade definitely steers clear from any clichés, and would be perfect paired with this statement necklace, echoing this beautiful shade.
I’m a big fan of OPI, I’ve always found their nail polishes are easy to use and long lasting. There are a vast number of shades on offer through Nailpolish.co.uk with the perfect palette available for each and every occasion.
To add an extra layer of protection I also tried a dry fast top coat from Seche Vite. Claiming to be the ‘Worlds Finest Top Coat’ I applied just one layer and was pleased with the results. Shiny and quick to dry, you really can’t ask for more!
My delivery from Nailpolish.co.uk arrived in a couple of days, perfect for last minute finishing touches or Christmas gifts. They have a huge range of offer, boasting a great choice of brands.
Our wedding is just over a week away and the urge to nail bite is inevitable, I’m determined to stay strong though!
