In the lead up to the wedding there are so many celebrations and the hen party is the cherry on top. Being surrounded by my nearest and dearest female friends and family was such a treat, and it’s safe to say I was well and truly spoilt.
Getting ready I decided to avoid the dodgy hotel shampoo & conditioner, and tried out Philip Kingsley’s ‘Showstopper’ range. Desperate for a good hair day I wasn’t disappointed, and its safe to say I’ll be using both the shampoo and conditioner on the morning of the wedding. My hair was full of volume and shine ready for the accessories to come….
I also have a few other essential bits & bobs I take out about with me, Elizabeth Arden Lip Repair Balm and Clinique’s dramatically different moisturiser – I can’t recommend these two products highly enough, and its safe to say they are never far from my side (Especially with a hangover on the horizon)
My choice of dress was left until the last minute, and I couldn’t have been happier with my True Decadence dress from John Lewis. Embracing the full netted skirt I channelled a mad men vibe, pairing the dress with blush platform court shoes.
Further accessorised with true hen party essentials, a veil, tiara and Bride-to-be sash, I was ready to enjoy the fun and games to come. (Ruby couldn’t resist trying them on once I came home – definitely a bridezilla in the making!)
No hen party would be complete without a few treats, and the new Fruit Fusions range from Echo Falls was a delicious pre-dinner hotel room drink. Light and bubbly the flavours were refreshing without being sickly sweet. Ideal for any party, they were perfectly accompanied by decadent Krispy Kreme Doughnut favours.
Cutely presented in fun boxes my hens eyes widened as soon as they were spotted on the table. Who could say no to such a treat? Its safe to say they’d be a very memorable wedding favour too!
All in all I loved every moment of my hen do, and I’m just wondering if it’s possible to be cheeky and have another?
I thought it wasn’t possible but celebrating with my nearest and dearest has made me even more excited about our upcoming wedding day… the next time some of them see me I’ll be walking down the aisle! Just over five weeks to go…
