#LoveFromFirstFind with Homesense

When I fall in love with a brand I want to tell everyone, almost frog marching them to their nearest shop, making sure they don’t miss out on the delights on offer. There is one exception to this rule, and while more often than not I begrudgingly reveal when a purchase is from this particular retailer, there is a huge temptation to feign ignorance and temporarily forget where the treasure was found.

My exception is Homesense, and when I was invited to an event at their Trafford Centre store a couple of weeks ago I was more than a little bit excited, but also slightly concerned that more people will discover my little secret.
Themed #LoveFromFirstFind, the title really was the perfect way to sum up Homesense. With huge discounts on homeware, there are entire departments dedicated to each and every room in the house.

The store itself is huge, with thousands of treasures lying in wait to be discovered. Wandering round we were truly spoilt for choice, and with our house move (Hopefully!) on the horizon we could have finished off our furnishing there and then.

There are temptations to suit every taste, and with only a few of each piece on offer decisions have to be made quickly… there is no guarantee that the same piece will still be there if a return visit is made.

So what couldn’t we resist falling in love with?

Not something we had set out to find, we fell for this beautiful duck egg blue pigeon hole style shelf. Perfect for our new bedroom, squinting at the price tag I wouldn’t have been surprised to see triple the price… but it was just £20! Always the way with Homesense, you stumble across the perfect pieces you couldn’t live without until that very moment.

We also picked up a couple of plates, falling head over heels for the beautiful range of patterns on offer. We’ve already purchased a navy blue kettle and toaster for our new kitchen, and there were plenty of pieces which would be their perfect match!

While it pains me to share how wonderful Homesense is, it wouldn’t be right to keep this secret to myself. Whether you’re looking for the perfect gift for the homebird in your life, or the finishing touch to your mantelpiece, it is always worth a good root around. In fact, even if you aren’t looking for anything particular a wander around each department is a wonderful way to spend an hour or so… more often than not you’ll fall in love with something you didn’t even know you were looking for!

Great post! Good job I didn’t see those pigeon holes or I might have snapped them up! Shame not to have met you, think we would get on as we clearly have the same tastes! 🙂
Best of luck in your new house – we bought one a year ago and thought it would be all done by now, but what can I say? Renovations always take longer than you think!

Oh my goodness, I’ve just bobbed over to look at your post, we spotted the same ‘S’… I really regret not buying it now! Definately a shame we didn’t bump into each other, hopefully there are some fantastic events ahead where we might 🙂
