Father’s day always seems to creep up on me, with a last minute Toblerone dash on the cards the day before. This year I’m determined to be more organised, having his gift ready and wrapped well in advance.
With just a week to go I thought I’d share some ideas, just in case anyone is particularly stuck for inspiration…
Something to drink
I know I keep saying this (and its tipping it down as I type..) but surely summer and sunny BBQs are just around the corner!
These award winning Goose Island ales would be the perfect gift, ensuring your Dad has delicious drinks on hand for when the sun does decide to come out.
While I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, its easy to see that the branding on these bottles look great. Bright and colourful, they definitely look the part.
Personally I always think of scented candles as more of a Mother’s Day gift, but this ‘Mandle’ from Yankee Candle offers a little twist to challenge conventions. Part of their barbershop range, the scent boasts notes of cardamom, incense and cedar wood this sophisticated fragrance. Definitely a gift my dad wouldn’t be expecting!
A sophisticated alternative to my normal triangular confectionary offering, Divine have a fantastic new range just in time for Father’s Day.
My Dad is a big fan of dark chocolate so I’m sure he’d be more than happy to try their new dark chocolate and almond bar, with their soft spot dark chocolate caramel bar a sophisticated twist on a pack of Rolos.
Equally delicious, their milk and white chocolate ranges are perfect for those who have a sweeter tooth.
Something for supper
For those who like to mx their sweet and savoury, the Godminster Cheddar and Cake Combo Set would be the perfect supper to follow a lunchtime Father’s Day roast.
The rich and creamy vintage organic cheddar is perfect when paired with moist rich flavoursome fruit cake, the ideal gift for foodie fathers.
Something to smile about
After all the treats that come hand in hand with Father’s day a new toothbrush would be a great way to keep your dad smiling.
The Colgate ProClinical C250 model has a slim and lightweight design, with a two-minute timer reminding you to keep brushing up until the optimum period recommended by dental professionals. To make sure your technique is on point a 30-second pacer indicates when it’s time to move to another quadrant in your mouth, ensuring your teeth are well and truly clean.
Something for the sock drawer
It wouldn’t be Father’s Day without some new socks, and these Stand4 Socks are a great way to support a good cause at the same time. Each design supports a different charity, with each purchase giving you the opportunity to support a very worthy cause.
Every purchase of this paisley pink pair supports the United Nations third global goal, to help improve maternal health. Specifically, the sale of one pair helps two women in Uganda to get antenatal check-ups.
If you’re going to buy socks for father’s day please have a quick look at the Stand4 Socks website with many many worthy causes reflected through their designs you will definitely find one you’d like to support. Surely one of the best Father’s Day gifts you can give!
Disclaimer: I was sent the above products and asked for my honest opinion. I was under no obligation to like each and every brand but I’m convinced they’d be the perfect Father’s Day gifts.
