Uncharted territory for most first-time parents, I still can’t quite believe how many nappies babies get through on a daily basis.
Once over the shock, we started to think about what else we need to have to hand in our nappy changing caddy. Not just nappies, we’re anticipating that we’ll be needing plenty of wipes and cream on standby.
Sudocrem is a brand I can remember my parents using when we were growing up. In fact, my mum always keeps a little pot to hand for any colds and runny noses. Perfect for drying out sore skin, a little smoothed on before you go to bed will ensure your nose is almost good as new the next morning.
A nappy changing essential, we’ve been sent a tube of ‘Care and protect’ to try out when our baby boy arrives. Offering triple protection, the well-known nappy rash ointment provides a barrier for the skin, a guard against infection and conditioning for the skin. Hypoallergenic and dermologically tested, we’ll be keeping a tube close to hand at all times.
Water wipes are a brand we’ve seen in many of our friend’s changing bags, and we’ll certainly be keeping them in ours.
Containing only two, completely natural ingredients – Water wipes are made from 99.9% purified water and 0.1% fruit extract. As gentle as cotton wool and water, they are a really convenient way to keep baby clean.
As well as wipes and cream, we’ll be adding in nappy bags and of course a good supply of newborn nappies. Apart from that though, we’re really not sure what else we’ll need….we’d be grateful of any tips!
What do we really need on hand for nappy changing?
