A fond farewell to 2017

A fond farewell to 2017

Well, what a year it’s been. Spoilt for happy memories, it’s safe to say 2017 was our best year so far.

Our baby boy arrived safe and sound, and is now 8 months old. We’re even more settled into our cottage, along with our two pups, and we’ve celebrated our second wedding anniversary.

Granted it’s not all been fun and games. Pregnancy came with a few worries, and later in the year, colic and teething challenged both us and our baby boy.

This blog has brought us more wonderful opportunities, working with some really lovely brands. To name a few, we had the opportunity to photograph our home for Amara, got to grips with our bedtime routine thanks to Mustela, and more recently we started Harry’s weaning journey with Piccolo.

Our home has seen some changes too. We got our bedroom baby ready, overhauled our pantry and our mantle has been re-styled with to suit each season.

I’ve loved trying my hand at a bit of DIY, and I’ve become a little more confident in my crafting abilities…

It’s a little sad saying a fond farewell to a year that has been so good to us, but I’m really looking forward to finding out what 2018 has waiting around the corner.

As well as enjoying family life, we’ve got big plans for our cottage, with our remaining renovations soon to be ticked off the list.

We’re finally sorting out our waste of space loft, and a new bathroom and kitchen are on the agenda.

I’m hoping to become a little more green-fingered, making our garden a little more presentable, ready to be enjoyed throughout the summer months.

Started three years ago today, what began as a hobby has become more than I could ever have imagined. The eagle eyed amongst you will notice this blog has a brand-new look ready for the New Year, and I’m excited to embrace all that 2018 has to offer.
