As I’ve mentioned a few times, it’s been impossible to get a hand print from our baby boy. Making thank you cards and Christmas decorations, we’ve just about got the hang of footprints, but those pesky hands have remained elusive.
Offering a new opportunity for us all to have a go, the clever folks at ‘Baby Art’ have created a fool proof way to get a hand-print from our slightly awkward little one.
The family touch photo frame showcases a 3D layered effect, layering the hand-prints of the whole family. Everything you need comes in the box, with the paint included dermatologically tested and safe to use on baby’s skin.
To get our heads round the setup, my husband and I went first, painting our hands and leaving a handprint on each plastic sheet. The roller makes even coverage easy, and our prints were done in a matter of minutes.
Working together, we set out to achieve the impossible, and rolled paint onto our baby boy’s hand. Easier than we thought it would be, we pressed his hand against his plastic sheet, only for him to move at the last minute.
This is where the Baby Art set comes into its own, as the plastic sheets are easily wiped down, which means you can have as many attempts as you need.
After a few goes we got our perfect print, and a couple of hours later all three were dry and ready for the frame.
Slotted in place, you can clearly see the size difference between all three of our prints. A lovely memento, to remind us of a time when our little one was actually very little.
A great gift, it’d be a fun activity for families with small children, as well as those with babies like us. A little bit different, it really couldn’t be easier to take prints using the set, especially compared to those were you only get one try!
As well as letting us have a go, Baby Art have also sent us a spare set to send to a lucky competition winner.

After months of trying, we’ve finally got a hand print from our baby boy! Have you got any tips for arts and crafts with children? It’s something I really enjoy doing, so I’m hoping it’s something our baby boy will grow to love too.
